Where to Swim?

The island is ringed with coves, and you can swim almost anywhere. A few of our favourites:

A Bozcaada cove with clear sea
One of the island’s clear-water coves

İğdelik Cove

The closest cove to us, just 200 metres. There's a private business, and you can use it for a daily fee. (We have no arrangement with them, you deal with them directly.) Ideal for those who want to swim within walking distance.

Ayazma

The island's most famous. Public, with cafés and restaurants. If you like crowds and a lively scene, this is the place.

Aquarium Cove

Incredibly clear water, you can see the bottom. For snorkelling. They closed the road a few years ago, so you may need to leave your car on the road and walk a bit. A small, popular cove, so don't arrive too late on busy days.

Salhane

For those who love jumping into the water from the pier. Clear, deep, delightful.

Habbele

Has a private business, a paid and well-equipped spot for those who want to spend the whole day.

Sulubahçe

A wide beach. Usually favoured by campers and nearby summer-house residents.

Katran Cove

One of those coves the locals don't talk about much. Very close to us, but we won't tell you the way. Finding it is part of the fun. For the adventurous.

Tuzburnu, Beylik, Ayana

Secluded, calm, untouched. But no facilities, so bring your own umbrella and water.

Çayır Cove

For windsurfing lovers. On the island's north, there's even a surf school.
